Salbutamol Pressurised Inhalation BP 100 mcg is a bronchodilator used to relieve and prevent symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. It contains the active ingredient salbutamol (also known as albuterol), which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, thereby widening them and making it easier to breathe.
Uses:
- Relief of acute asthma attacks.
- Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm.
- Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) symptoms.
Application:
- The typical dose for adults and children over 4 years is one to two inhalations (100-200 mcg) as needed, up to a maximum of 4 times a day.
- For exercise-induced bronchospasm, one to two inhalations should be taken 15 minutes before exercise.
Instructions for Use:
- Shake the inhaler well before each use.
- Remove the mouthpiece cover and check for any obstructions.
- Breathe out fully to empty your lungs.
- Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it.
- Begin to breathe in slowly and deeply, then press down on the inhaler to release one dose of medication.
- Hold your breath for as long as comfortable, then exhale slowly.
- If a second inhalation is required, wait about 30 seconds to 1 minute before repeating the steps.
- Replace the mouthpiece cover after use.
Precautions:
